CVE CVE-2022-2276
CVSS 7.5 (High)
Publicly Published August 1, 2022
Last Updated January 22, 2024
Researcher Johannes Gangsö

Description

The WP Edit Menu plugin for WordPress lacks authorization checks on one of its ajax action and is vulnerable to Arbitrary Post Deletion in versions below 1.5.0. This is due to a missing capability check in the function wpem_remove_menu_entry. This makes it possible for an unauthenticated attacker to delete posts and pages.
