4.4
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
CVE CVE-2024-6888
CVSS 4.4 (Medium)
Publicly Published August 13, 2024
Last Updated September 12, 2024
Researcher Bob Matyas - Automattic

Description

The Secure Copy Content Protection and Content Locking plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Custom CSS setting in all versions up to, and including, 4.1.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
