CVE CVE-2024-33691
CVSS 4.3 (Medium)
Publicly Published April 26, 2024

Researcher Dhabaleshwar Das

Description

The OptinMonster plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 2.15.3. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the validate_please_connect_notice_dismiss() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to dismiss notices via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
