Missing Authorization
CVE CVE-2023-0328
CVSS 5.4 (Medium)
Publicly Published February 9, 2023
Last Updated January 22, 2024
Researcher Sanjay Das

Description

The WPCode plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access and modification of data due to a missing capability check on the ajax_auth_url, store_auth_key, and delete_auth functions in versions up to, and including, 2.0.6. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with access to edit_posts, such as contributors, to retrieve and update the auth key for the WPCode library.
