Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)
CVSS 4.3 (Medium)
Publicly Published October 3, 2023
Last Updated January 22, 2024

Description

The Marker.io plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to, and including, 1.1.6. This is due to missing nonce validation on the markerio_save_destination() and markerio_save_option() functions. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify the plugins settings and save destinations via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
