CVE CVE-2023-23699
CVSS 6.4 (Medium)
Publicly Published April 24, 2023
Last Updated May 9, 2023
Researcher yuyudhn

Description

The Progress Bar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'wppb' shortcode in versions up to, and including, 2.1.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the user-supplied shortcode attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
