CVE CVE-2023-46201
CVSS 4.4 (Medium)
Publicly Published October 19, 2023
Last Updated January 22, 2024
Researcher LEE SE HYOUNG

Description

The Auto Login New User After Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'alnuar_auto_login_new_user_after_registration_redirect' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.9.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level permissions and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled. NOTE: This vulnerability is exploitable via Cross-Site Request Forgery (CVE-2023-46202).
